Merry Christmas from New Leaf Staff and Office Update

In case you didn’t know, I have two practices in two states. While they are only 200 miles apart, they are two very different practices. In my Oklahoma practice, I took over for my mentor after he suffered grave health challenges. He was very fundamental in a structure-based approach—essentially chiropractic on steroids. My other practice in Dallas was started by a colleague and heavily focused on nutrition.

Each practice offered a little of each service and both had a level of success higher than our colleagues. Yet, something was missing. In the heavy nutrition-based practice, patients still had brain fog and body pain, but they could digest better. On the structure-based practice, they had little to no pain but were still inflamed. They didn’t have tests to identify opportunities and challenges nor take nutritional supplements to mitigate issues. I bridged the gap between each approach and added genetics, brain work and functional exercise to each patients’ regimen to enhance the body’s opportunity to heal.

Move forward to 2020. Communication and education have been difficult for me because of time and the ability to tell a story that resonates without big fancy words. So, I began developing online webinars. In 2020, I also wrote a book because I felt

as though I was talking in circles throughout the day. In my structure practice, it’s still

difficult to have patients get blood work every six months and adhere to dietary and exercise regimens. Why? Because in that community, a trip to the doctor a few times a year is good enough. And that’s pretty standard for most of our country. If you feel good, then you are good. But, inflammation that causes disease rarely causes pain. In the structure-based practice, the incidence of COVID is about one in 20 individuals, close to the national average. Contrast that to the functional nutrition, genetics and monthly structure practice where the only confirmed patient with COVID had been in our practice for four days! Statistically speaking, there should be more, and by all probability, there are more positive results. Yet, they are presenting as asymptomatic.

Is this a treatment, a golden ticket? Heck no! But I can’t ignore what we see and, of course, testing. As with any disease, when you are consistent with monitoring causes of inflammation and the basics of your immune system, you have a fighting chance—albeit this is from our small sample size of around 500 patients. I want this for everyone, and if you have put off testing this year hoping it goes away, may the odds be ever in your favor.

My gift for you this year is the opportunity to get my book for free, plus shipping, with additional bonuses for those who peek inside. More info will be coming soon on this opportunity.

All my best,

Dr. Trites

For or those of us that are required to omit corn, soy and wheat from our diet, we are working with a rancher, Taylor Cooper, the owner and operator of Livestock First Ranch (livestock1ranch.com).

They are producing broiler chickens that are pastured and supplemented with Elite Chick Starter Feed from Texas Natural Feeds. This elite feed includes Redmond Salt containing 60+ trace minerals, seven direct-fed microbials (probiotics), organic alfalfa, organic kelp, Omega 3s fatty acids and essential amino acids.

The Elite Chick Starter blend includes Fertrell Poultry Nutri-Balancer Complete Vitamin Source for a complete nutritional balance that also naturally preserves this freshly made feed for up to six months. Texas Natural Feeds produces feed fresh for Livestock First Ranch and it is completely finished in three to four months.

Not only is this superior feed healthier for the chicken, but it is also healthier for us as consumers. The Cornish chickens are pastured at three to four weeks old enabling them to eat numerous insects and fresh grass while getting plenty of fresh air and sunshine. This makes healthy, happy chickens! This diverse environment also makes for a superior, nutrient-dense product. Combine this with grass-fed meats, including the products advertised at New Leaf Health and Wellness’ U.S. Wellness Meats, and you can safely eat foods that will support your autoimmune protocols and are delicious as well!

Please contact Lori Hora at 214-918-1285 if you have questions or would like more information about Livestock First Ranch.

The health and wellness of our patients is the number one priority and 2020 took it to an entirely new level. With the COVID-19 outbreak in early March, we knew that now, more than ever, our patients needed to be in tip-top shape to stay healthy.

Stricter protocols within our office were put in place in order to help ensure the safety of our patients. Dr. Trites spent hours researching the best products for our patients to help boost their immune systems. Overall, we have seen a large percentage of patients stay healthy and COVID-free throughout this year! We want you to know we count this as a victory and we are celebrating with you and your family! We are committed to partnering with you on your health journey.
