Description

Uric Acid Support offers complete support for the urinary tract, kidneys and gall bladder health.

Uric acid is a chemical created when the body breaks down substances called purines. Purines are normally produced in the body and are also found in some foods and drinks. Foods with a high content of purines include liver, anchovies, mackerel, dried beans and peas, and beer.

Most uric acid dissolves in blood and travels to the kidneys. From there, it passes out in urine. You can get sick if your body produces too much uric acid or does not remove enough of it. A high level of uric acid in the blood is called hyperuricemia, widely known as Gout.

Causes of a high uric acid level in the blood include but are not limited to diuretics (water retention relievers), drinking too much alcohol, drinking too much soda or overeating foods that contain fructose, a type of sugar.

You might not notice you have hyperuricemia, especially if your levels are only slightly elevated. But over time, the buildup of uric acid in your blood can lead to pain and other symptoms. It can also cause damage throughout your body.
